Rick's Cabaret Reports April Nightclub Sales Up 67.2 Percent On Strong Same Club Performance

HOUSTON-(May 4, 2006)- Rick's Cabaret International, Inc. [NASDAQ:RICK], said revenues from its gentlemen's clubs increased 67.2 percent in April 2006 from the same month a year earlier. The increase was driven by a 25.2 percent increase in same store sales and the impact of the company's upscale New York City location.

Total nightclub sales for April 2006 were $1,916,205, compared with $1,145,980 in 2005. The figures for 2006 include revenues from Rick's Cabaret-NYC, but this location will not be included in same store sales figures until later in the year, since it opened in September 2005. Same store sales in April 2006 were $1,434,426, compared with $1,145,980 last year.

"We are comfortable with the continuing growth of our sales on a year-over-year basis and look forward to maintaining this momentum as we move through the year," said Eric Langan, President and CEO of Rick's Cabaret. "April was an important month for us and we exceeded our expectations at Club Onyx in Houston and Rick's Cabaret in Minneapolis."
