Halloween Party at Rick's Cabaret New York City goes on despite Super Storm Sandy
NEW YORK CITY – (October 31, 2012) – Dozens of entertainers were expected to show up tonight at
Rick’s Cabaret/New York City to take part in the annual Halloween Party. Called “the best strip club in New York” by
Playboy, the upscale venue is the flagship club of
Rick’s Cabaret International, Inc. (NASDAQ:RICK), the publicly traded group of gentlemen’s clubs.
The midtown Manhattan club at 50 West 33rd Street was closed by Super Storm Sandy on Monday and Tuesday, but it reopened today in time for what has proven to be one of the most popular events of the year. The club is extending its deeply discounted happy hour prices and will waive cover charges till 10pm all week.
Despite limited mass transportation, entertainers made it to the club by taxi, limo and on foot.
“I didn’t want to miss this party because it is always a great event for us and the guys love to see us in our costumes, or at least what there is of them,” said Carolyn, a willowy blonde dancer.
Rick’s Cabaret/NYC opened in the Fall of 2005. Located across the street from the Empire State Building and a block from Madison Square Garden, it has become a Manhattan tourist destination point because of its exceptionally attractive entertainers and ambience. The elegant three-floor club features a Zagat-rated steak house, full VIP floor with private rooms, a non-stop cabaret show on the main floor and a roof-top smoking deck.
